Deborah Stafford has been known as one of the best Blues, Jazz & Big Band Singers in Colorado for many years. But in 2021, Deborah put together the IBC band of her dreams and thus Deborah Stafford & the Night Stalkers was born. They just won the Colorado Blues Society Blues Challenge for the 2nd year in a row and went to Memphis for the 2023 International Blues Challenge. They played The Trinidaddio Blues Fest. last year and Blues on the Mesa this year to rave reviews. Deborah has been tearing it up lately! She was invited to sing at The Women in the Blues Showcase at the IBC last year. She fronts another award-winning Blues Band, Deborah Stafford & The State of Affairs, who opened for Buddy Guy, and represented Mile High Blues Society at the IBC in 2019. They played The Greeley Blues Jam in 2022.
She also sings with an 18-piece Swing Big Band, The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, who have opened for the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra and have become one of the premiere Swing Big Bands in Colorado. Last but not least, her Jazz Quintet is peopled by some of the finest musicians in the Boulder/Denver area.
